中國地質大學（武漢）珠寶學院是我國最早引進了國際上先進寶石學體系的教育機構，在學習國際現代寶石學理論和技能的基礎上，融合了中國珠寶行業的特點，創立了自己的GIC品牌，成為中國珠寶人材培養的最好學府之一，是我國第一個寶石學方向的博士點、第一個首飾設計方向的藝術碩士點（MFA)，在行業內被譽為“中國珠寶教育的黃埔軍校”。
珠寶學院本著教學和科研服務行業的理念，為滿足教學及科研的需要，現面向海內外招聘教師及專職科研人員。
The Gemmological Institute, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) is planning to fill multiple tenure-track junior positions. We are seeking candidates who are actively applying modern experimental or computational techniques in characterizing materials to join a new adventure on gem materials. The Institute is the oldest in China with over 20 years of experiences of teaching and developing formal gemological education and jewelry design. A newly established Center for Innovative Gem Testing Technologies (CIGT) in the Institute is in the process of building a few research groups with over two million US dollars investment in brand new instrument such as LA-ICPMS, FTIR with IR microscope, Raman/photoluminescence, UV-visible spectrophotometer, EDXRF etc, as well as high pressure and high temperature facilities.
We are focusing on specific areas such as gem material processing and/or synthesis and their identification, gem material provenance study and identification, gemstone evaluation/grading, biological gem materials etc. Please see the following hiring plans for details. Chinese language knowledge is not required. More experienced researchers are also encouraged to apply and will be considered separately in positions commensurate with their experiences.
